The way I see it, if you have pets you have three choices when it comes to bedding:
First choice: Make the bedroom off limits to the furry ones. Of course, unless this is already an established policy you will have to listen to a nightly serenade of scratching, whining, meowing or howling at the bedroom door.
Second choice: Throw and old sheet or lightweight blanket cover on the top of your nice new bedding. Wash it often and remove it when company is expected.
Third choice: Factor your pets’ coloring into your decorating decisions and choose something that the cat or dog hair will not show up against.

The San Francisco interior design firm Hepworth + Howard contacted us and asked us to provide bed linens for a model unit on the 55th floor of the new 58-story Millennium Towers. This corner-unit condo has spectacular views of the bay and downtown with seven floor-to-ceiling windows in the living-dining area, great views from two bedrooms, and 2,200 square feet of living space. Scheuer Linens was thrilled to do the bed linens for the guest bedroom for Tucker and Marks, a San Francisco–based interior design firm founded by Suzanne Tucker and Timothy F. Marks in 1986. The Renaissance embroidery pattern was done in green and yellow on ivory percale by Hamburg House. Matouk’s Dakota diamond pique scalloped coverlet in ecru was selected for the top of the bed.
Suzanne’s first book, Rooms to Remember: The Classic Interiors of Suzanne Tucker, was published in 2009, and in January, she launched her textile line, Suzanne Tucker Home, in Paris. Her work has been featured in ELLE DECOR, House Beautiful, Town & Country, and numerous books. She has been featured in Architectural Digest’s “AD 100.”
