An introduction to SDH Fine European Linens.

By Designer, Founder, and President, Sigrid Wagner

As our company continues to grow and gain worldwide recognition, I am more frequently asked question about what inspired me to create a textile company based purely on all natural, "luxury" fabrics. The answer is simple. I believe strongly that natural fibers are the best for us all to live with.

Globally, we are all becoming more conscious of the environmental benefits of using all natural products. I strive to promote ecological awareness and, at the same time, provide products that are elegant and useful. I believe that an all natural lifestyle doesn't have to mean giving up style, comfort and high-quality. Since I have aspired to create luxurious fabrics promoting the environmental cause, I have gone through painstaking efforts to assemble only quality suppliers and the best support staff. It gives me great satisfaction to know that when a customer buys SDH they can feel good about making an ecological difference and be comforted by our products in their home environment as well.

I am especially proud of the first-rate teams we have built in customer service and sales throughout the country and the world. Our management and distribution group at our headquarters in Fairfield, CA is second to none. We all work together to develop strong relationships with customers and suppliers internationally. We dedicate much of our time working in foreign countries to understand their challenges and keep up with the trends in the global marketplace.

New technologies in textile manufacturing are being developed at a rapid pace. As there are new possibilities, there will always be opportunity for creative minds to use these possibilities to their fullest potential. It is my hope that the predominant trend in our business will move toward innovations focusing on natural processes.
