Pantone® Color Of The Year—Scheuer Linens Weighs In

You may have heard. Pantone’s color of the year for 2011 is Pink. Well, they call it Honeysuckle. But it’s Pink. According to Pantone, it will “get your adrenaline pumping, instill confidence and fill you with courage to meet exhaustive challenges.” Pink. Can you believe it? Who decides these things?!

An Expert’s Opinion—Pink, Schmink

How much Pink did we see at the New York International Gift Fair this January. Not a hint. Since fashion in bedding typically follows fashion in couture by 6 months, it might show up this fall. But who wants Pink in Autumn?

Last year’s hot fashion color was Grey. It did appear on the shelves of fine bedding purveyors, including Scheuer Linens. I’m sure you can imagine why: high style, sophistication, yet restful and with an assurance of exquisite comfort. As for Pink? Based on my experience, I don’t think we’ll see Pink pushed too hard by the higher end luxury linen stores any time soon.
